To start with the money transfer system, you have to connect to UMVA and request an ID, you can do this on-line.

The UMVA ID is for free. After joining you will be able to request a bank account at one of the banks.
The bank will enter that bank account number in your profile. To speed up the process you can fill the form in UMVA Client at this site.

Thereafter you select a service level, Silver is the basic service; GOLD for more advanced level such as International transfer and cash transactions; and the Platinum level for the highest level of service.

About UCT Bank :

The Union of the Co-operatives of the Workers, UCT, is an amalgamation of Co-operatives of the Workers, CT (Cooperative des Travailleurs), being within the limits of the territory of the Republic of Rwanda. It was created on December 9th, 1993 by Ministerial decree n° 045/3/30.
